My Journey into Nutrition Coaching

My passion for health and nutrition began early in life. I was raised on a wholesome, largely vegetarian diet, with parents who strongly believed in the power of natural, unprocessed food. Their influence planted a seed in me that has grown into a lifelong dedication to nourishing the body in the best way possible.


I have always had an “all in” personality, and that extended to my approach to food and health. In my twenties, I explored everything from liver cleansing diets to strict veganism, before eventually moving towards a paleo lifestyle. Over time, I learned that no single label defines health. It is about balance, listening to the body, and respecting its needs.

As a mum of four, I embrace a wholefood approach at home. From baking bread to simmering stocks, I make it a priority to raise my kids on organic, nutrient rich meals made from scratch. Food has never just been about eating. It has always been about connection, care, and building strong foundations for health.


Exercise has also been an important part of my life. In my twenties and thirties, I ran multiple half marathons, before a knee injury and surgery shifted my focus to more restorative practices. These days, I find joy in yoga and walking barefoot along the beach, gentle ways to move while staying grounded.


My health journey took an unexpected turn in late 2021 when I suffered a severe reaction to the COVID vaccine. I experienced both heart and neurological issues, which led me on a long and difficult road to recovery. With the support of functional medicine, an anti- inflammatory diet, targeted supplementation, and practices to support my nervous system, I slowly regained my strength. This experience was life changing.


Previously, I had worked as a primary school teacher in my hometown of Hervey Bay. But walking through my own healing journey reignited my deepest passion, nutrition. I realised I wanted to dedicate my future to helping others on their own path to health. That decision led me to complete two Certificate IV qualifications in Nutrition Coaching and Sports Nutrition Coaching.


Today, with over 25 years of lived experience in nutrition, I am here to support others, whether that is weight loss, gut health, muscle gain, or athletic performance. My mission is simple: to help people discover how powerful food can be in transforming health and achieving lasting results.
